Eric Grandison Golf Coach – Review – Kate MacGillivray
I had 1:1 coaching for 5 days with Eric at Craigielaw Golf Club, and I stayed onsite at Craigielaw Lodge for the duration of the coaching.
I had played a little golf prior to this but was basically self-taught. Eric was a fantastic coach.
He had to a job on his hands to first ‘unteach’ my bad habits and start from scratch to teach me the correct skills and to constantly reinforce these throughout the week.
Eric was meticulous about preparation and ensuring I had the correct set up prior to every shot. He taught me the skills to ensure I had the sound foundations to build on to take my game forward. The most important factor for me was that he was very patient but also firm in delivering the coaching and I gained in confidence in this supportive environment. He also had a great sense of humour and a wealth of stories to entertain which put me at ease.
Craigielaw Golf Club was ideally suited to this coaching environment. The facilities were excellent. A driving range, 6-hole 3 par course and putting area. The Lodge accommodation was spacious and well equipped. The Club House looked out over the 18-hole course with stunning view and hosted a bar and restaurant with a varied menu and well-cooked dishes.
I had a fantastic 5 days.
Highlights:
5* coaching with Eric
5* venue at Craigielaw
5* staff at Craigielaw – wonderful staff in all areas. A real credit to the venue.
I would definitely recommend whatever your level of golf – Eric will deliver!!
